This is adoption week! I am so excited to listen to all the podcasts that will be about orphans and adoption. It is so funny that I am so passionate about this, because it is a relatively new thing for me....I would say about 3 years tops. But it isn’t going away. I typically am a project person, but this is no passing fad. And I find myself dreaming about becoming a missionary to the orphans in Haiti, going on mission trips to Africa to minister to the AIDS victims and their families, sponsoring more children, adopting more children, and starting an orphan ministry in our church. In fact I actually surprised myself the other day. I heard about a friend that had entered a contest to win one million dollars. And the first thing I thought of was, I wonder if he would donate money to make a nonprofit organization to help orphans, to reduce his taxes on that win! How strange of me!
